I am Professor of Primary Care and Head of the Department of Primary Care & Public Health at Imperial College London. In addition, I am a part-time General Practitioner in Clapham, London and a Honorary Consultant in Public Health Medicine with Brent Primary Care Trust and the Imperial College healthcare NHS Trust. This section contains pages that describe my skills and experience.

I published my first paper in an academic journal in 1992. Since then, I have published nearly 200 journal articles, as well as a number of editorials, commentaries, and book chapters. I have also written reports for organisations such as the Department of Health, the Office for National Statistics and the Association of Public Health Observatories.
